Preparing for Launch

It is the night before we leave. Wednesday morning 11:15 flight from Dulles Airport. What a difference two years makes. The first time I was travelling to Tanzania two years ago I was filled with stress and anxiety the night before. I was travelling to a developing part of the world for the first time to see people I had never met. Tonight I'm not filled with stress or fear but excitement. I'm looking forward to seeing friends and my brothers and sisters in Christ again. I'm looking forward introducing them to the other travelers from St. D's. I'm looking forward to meeting and beginning a relationship with the people of Wilunze. I remember how clearly  I experienced God's presence in so many surprising ways and I look forward to being surprised again. Please hold us and the people of Wilunze in your prayers.

Just sent the last work e-mail. Then sent my complete itinerary and this link to my family. I'm very excited and a bit nervous. As I was driving by a church today, I saw a sign that made me smile and nod: "Trust him".
